Training Programs

SLM/Vision Schools for USA, Kenya and India

Practical biblical training is vital to the complete development of every Christian leader in every church. Training is receiving knowledge, developing the mind of Christ, forming one’s character into the full image of Christ and practicing what they have learned in the local church.

10 courses must be completed each year but the Classes in Bold are required and must be completed without exception; the non-required courses can be changed as needed by local program. The original textbooks must also be completed—with their respective assignments as outlined in the course each syllabus—and assignments from these texts turned in for archiving at the SLM headquarters.

For each course the student must complete at least 3 of the following evidences—turned in hard copy and/or digitally to the instructor, and submitted to the online evidence system.
  1. Complete Study Guide for the course (when available).
  2. Complete Exam (when available).
  3. Complete comprehensive outlines of each lecture (typed and properly formatted!)
  4. A completed, comprehensive journal documenting practical activities associated with the course work.
  5. A 5-7 page essay documenting service performed/ strategies used as part of the class work.
  6. A letter from an organizational director, pastor or authority under which the student served, thoroughly documenting the student’s activity in relation to the course work.

Schedule
Each school will establish a set schedule with SLM/Vision teachers who usually teach approximately 8-10 hours over two days a month. It can be a weekend or any days that are best for the school and students. Teachers prefer to teach all students at each school over two days rather than spreading it out over more days; however, each school will negotiate with SLM/Vision.

Graduation Process
In order for a student to graduate, each student must complete the following. If a student does all of the following then they can graduate.
  1. Attend all of the lectures for each course;
  2. Complete all assignments for each course, and
  3. Take any tests given for each course.

NOTE: If a school desires to substitute courses, then the facilitator must speak with the SLM/Vision Coordinator, Dr. John McGeorge, to discuss and decide about any changes before they are  made.
